CID/ Support from John Larner and Garrison
NYC-based artist CID is a GRAMMY-winning producer and tastemaker label owner who’s boundless sound encompasses everything from after-hours house/tech house to crossover dance hits. One of the most in-demand DJs in dance music today, he’s performed at global festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Bonnaroo, and has headlined international clubs and venues. CID broke into the mainstream in 2013 when he won his first GRAMMY for his work on Cedric Gervais’ multiplatinum hit remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness.” In Feb. 2019, CID notched his second GRAMMY nomination, and his first solo nod, for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of “Audio” from pop supergroup LSD.
“Fast forward to 2020 and a slight shift in sound saw even more of CIDs productions find themselves in even more of the worlds biggest DJ sets. His collaboration with Westend on “Jumpin” saw him atop the global Beatport charts, and follow up releases on the likes of Solotoko, Repopulate Mars and forthcoming on Fisher’s Catch & Release have seen his star rise further. CID’s discography includes multiple breakout releases, including the Kaskade collaborations “Us” and “Sweet Memories”; “Secrets” feat. Conrad Sewell; “Believer” feat. CeeLo Green; and “Creepin’.”. In March 2018, CID released his debut EP, ‘Bad for Me.’ Elsewhere, he’s remixed major artists including Halsey, Ellie Goulding x Diplo, Galantis and others. In Aug. 2019, CID released a remix of the GRAMMY-winning viral hit “Truth Hurts” from Lizzo.
In June 2019, CID launched Night Service Only, his independent label in partnership with Spinnin’ Records. Serving up strictly club-centric music, the imprint is CID’s channel for late-night heaters and peak-time anthems. He also hosts and curates his weekly ‘Night Service Only Radio’ show, which airs on SiriusXM. —John Ochoa, December 2019
